You basically have all the essential languages already. If you’re also doing some of the design work, you will need to know CSS which will go along with the HTML portion. Down the line you may have an interest in learning AJAX as well for some projects.

I would just work on your PHP skills, and try picking up a development framework, such as a MVC framework to help quicken your productivity and development cycle. There are a lot of MVC frameworks out there, and each kind of have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you’re just starting out, I’d suggest looking at the CodeIgniter framework. It’s got a quick learning curve and it’s lightweight.

For starting career in web development basic HTML along with CSS, of course JavaScript would be required throughout irrespective of the platform or language; whether you go with open source technology or choose Microsoft technologies; Java or other.

It is good that you have knowledge of HTML, Javascript, basic php so you can proceed with AJAX, off-the-shelf CMS like Joomla, Drupal; MVC framework and gradually on the domain specific you can enhance your skills and knowledge. Good Luck!
